cell 5 x 7 - confusing! especially going backwards
cell 6 x 9 easy to lose pulse
cell 7 x 5 must keep fingers down especially in the last 3 patterns!
8.35 - saint saens passages
Shifts at letter J: play the note. stop. shift then play. B down to A. Funny enough was quite difficult! F sharp down to E. 1st finger to 2nd finger! >< THE LEAP from first postion B to the octave above B took a while to nail. The aim was to play the leap/shift 5 times in a row in tune! finally got it. Must aim for 8 tomorrow. I was getting boggeddown so i chose 5. Wise choice in my opinion.
Then i skipped to letter L: 2nd BAR the thumb position: The A is on 2nd finger but then substituted by the 1st finger. Fair enough, but there are notes in between. The the D sharp is on 1st finger, then i have to move it to the A string and play A. This is not making any sense. Anyway I did the “play the note. stop. place finger on next note. play” system. It helped in a brilliant way! I admit I haven’t yet nailed it! I tried placing my thumb on the A and D string while playing that passage. It enhanced the intonation of the passage which is a thumbs up. The problem was then getting into that position. Placing the thumb on both strings. It was so messy I tried placing my thumb on both strings but with the thumb a little more to the right. I think this is the best place to keep it!
The passage of broken sixths just before letter M: I did the last two sixths of the passage. I played them as double stops! painful! I familiarised myself with the shift. the “p.s.p” system. that’s what i will call it. there should another letter before that P but PSP will be good for now. moving on. Then i did the last 3 sixths. The labelling them 1 2 3 left to right. from 1 to 2, the shift was SO difficult. So i had to use the psp method again. I’ve kind of got it now. Left hand is now in pain. So i will call it a day.
I will work on Feuillard no.1 again tomorrow. I will do no.36 also. That can be my focus for the day. Just skimming through it right now. It looks difficult! Everything looks difficult! I need to look up “difficult” in the thesaurus. I believe cell 21 will be super unco-ordinated. Anyway no.36 will also help with Piatii No.2 So i’m rather excited!YIPEE!
yb: I still consider today a great achievement. I didn’t do much practice time-wise, however i believe it was an extremely effective practice session.
MJ onni has left :( She’s in Korea so she should be having a brilliant time. Anyway I was going through my mobile phone pictures and found a few pictures. It didnt take me long to recognise them. FOOD PICTURES=] We had indian at Surry Hills. DELISH =]
Before I type about my leggings. I must say it again, I love Bec & Bridge.
I must admit not all their dresses fit me the way I would like them to, BUT everything is still lovable to look at! Also bec & bridge’s collaboration with CLEO magazine was =] (can not be described in words)
Here is a confession. I am obsessed with leggings. Really. I could wear them all year round. HOWEVER I strongly dislike the short t-shirt + legging (+ visible underwear line and butt flab sticking out) look. Besides this look I’m sure I LOVE LEGGINGS. Who knows, something else might stick out to me. Moving on. These are on of my favourites. Which is why I bought 2 pairs.
Okay so they are the “Lacet Tab Pants” YES i know, they are PANTS. I don’t think I could wear them as pants. Unless I didn’t mind having my underwear completely visible. You see they’re more of a meshed patterned legging. (I’m pretty sure there’s a better to describe them)
Oh I have to say this also. They kind of hurt when I sit down. Do you know when you’re sitting on a net? (okay most people wouldn’t have sat on a net) UMM. Okay when you lean against something for X amount of time and then the pattern of the object is on your arm because your skin has been pushed it. Well parts of it. Point is, it’s painful when sitting down or sitting on a ladder whilst doing drags during work. Another downside could be finding the right things to wear with them. The stunning buttons on the top are such a great detail and in order to keep them visible I have to wear something short. Generally not a fan of short clothing. I don’t have shorts or skirts that could really suit these. But i still wear them with denim and skirts so problem solved somewhat. They’re more of a dressy legging, but I would wear them any day. I’ll post up an image of them. Well an image of me in them, which may not be attractive.
They remind me of the Stella McCartney Wedges in the Previous post.
I do remember tossing between leather and suede. To this day, I do not regret purchasing the leather ones. Anyway this shoe just popped up into my mind. In my own ideal world I really would have loved to purchase the Stella McCartney pair, perhaps in the nude colour?? or patent grey. They’re all stunners. I must admit I do like the siren pair also. Why? The straps=]
Okay to make it more clear:
The price is much more suitable for me, only because I don’t have a “proper” income.
I won’t have to worry about taking care of them. I still do take care of them mind you.
The two straps are a point of detail which is always a plus for me
It reminds me of Stella McCartney’s wedges.
Creates a sense of comfort and satisfaction that I can obtain something similar.
Available in a wider range of colours, designs, etc.
The straps are under the ankles which won’t cut my legs off ; making me look even shorter. Wait. Do i really need to worry about height in these killer wedges? Even so, my legs won’t be cut off!
It’s Stella McCartney! this is a brilliant reason
The silver edges are stunning
Conclusion is that I love them. Oh, I almost forgot, they are comfortable! Really. They would be even more comfortable if my feet were normal. That’s one of things that I would like in my life to be normal. My feet. Is that too much to ask?
